Appeal For 350 Tonnes of Subsoil Free of Stone or Rubble

Professional BMX track builder Steve Jenks will build the BMX track in Palmers field.

By taking this route, the track will meet ROSPA and British Cycling standards. This will ensure the track is built to the highest specification and if there were any problems, the builder is insured, is experienced and meets Parish Council insurance criteria to the letter. In short, every bit of detail has been covered. It also means the young people involved can form an official British Cycling club and hold events. This will help with ongoing maintenance plans eventually after paying for the track.

A local company had very generously offered to donate the 300 tons or so of dirt but sadly they retracted this offer and also any help to level out a hump between the football field and the Palmers field.

If you know of any companies or individuals who would like to get involved in helping the young people of Aldbourne in any way, please ask them to contact us.
